Robert C. Andrews

Robert C. Andrews of Lewiston, NY, passed away on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in Lewiston, NY.  He was born in Niagara Falls, NY on October 10, 1931, the son of the late John and Margaret [Ross] Andrews.

He was married and devoted to the love of his life for 69 years, the late Vivian M. (Malouf) Andrews, who passed away on November 1, 2021.

Mr. Andrews was a decorated Korean War veteran with the US Army, who bravely served on the front lines as a Medic.

He retired as a Captain with the Niagara Falls Fire Department after 30 years of service.

Mr. Andrews was an avid golfer and was a long time member of the Niagara Frontier Country Club where he won several senior championships.

Above all, Bob adored his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, hosting many family gatherings in his back yard and thoroughly enjoyed watching them swim in his pool. 

He was truly loved by all and will be sadly missed.

He is survived by his children Laurene (Michael) Trethewey, Bruce (Bonnie Myers) Andrews , Glenn (Claire) Andrews, Cheryl (Peter) Milicia and Robert (Marie) Andrews, 18 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mr. Andrews was the brother of the late John, Norman (Margaret) and Daniel (Kathy) Andrews.

A private Celebration of Life with Military Honors will be held at the wishes of his family.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of his beloved wife, Vivian.
