Rose A. Farnham

Of the Tuscarora Nation, Black Bear Clan, passed away June 10, 2024,  surrounded by her loving family and under the care of hospice. She was born in Niagara Falls, NY on August 28, 1933, daughter of the late Andrew and Mamie (Mt. Pleasant) Printup.

She was a life long member of the Tuscarora Baptist Church, where she served as janitor, Awana Director of sparks and cubbies, Ladies Aide Group Chair, Sunday School Teacher and assisted her late husband as church treasurer for many years.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed eating with and doing puzzles with her senior lunch group at the Tuscarora Nation Building.  She was the New York State Apple Queen in 1949.

Rose was the wife of 57 years to the late William F. Farnham, Sr.

Rose is survived by three sons: William F. (Janice) Farnham, Jr, Edward (Barbara) Farnham and Gary (Yvonne) Farnham, two daughters Nancy (Rev. Robert) Dean and Shelly Woodbury, sister Minnie Grace (late Stephen) Karol, 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Farnham was the sister of the late Marcia (late Paul) Kulik, Lucille Esther (late Elwin) Nichols and Adelaide (late Arthur) Davis.

Her family will be present FRIDAY, June 14th from 1:00-3:00PM at the Tuscarora Baptist Church, 2088 Mt. Hope Road, Sanborn, NY, where Funeral Services will follow at 3:00PM, with Rev. Walter A. Printup, III and Rev. Robert Dean officiating.

Flowers are gratefully declined.  Memorials may be made in her name to the Tuscarora Baptist Church Building Fund.

Interment in Mt. Hope Cemetery, on the Tuscarora Nation.
