Ruth DeVantier Obituary
Ruth E. DeVantier of the Town of Cambria, NY, passed away on Sunday, February 16, 2020, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Facility. She was born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on November 4, 1929, the daughter of the late William and Louise [Broecker] Mueller.
Ruth was a Tupperware dealer for over 40 years and was an active member of St. Andrew Lutheran
Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, baking and gardening.
Ruth was the wife of the late Elmer A. DeVantier, who passed away in June of 2002.
She was the mother of Robert (Susan) DeVantier, Susan (late William) Thompson and
Sharon (Kenneth) Walker and the late Richard DeVantier, six grandchildren Rebecca Drabczyk
and Christina DeVantier, Michelle Thompson, Jayme (Paul) Mohr, Dan and Andrew Walker,
two great grandchildren Sara and Sean, also many nieces and nephews.
Ruth was the sister of the late Mary Wyatt and Arthur Mueller.
Her family will be present on Thursday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME,
5983 Hoover Road, Sanborn, NY. Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 2:00 PM at
St. Andrew Lutheran Church, 3229 Upper Mountain Road, SANBORN, NY, with the
Rev. Kurt D. Schultz officiating.
Flowers are gratefully declined.
Memorials may be made in her name to St. Andrew Church.
Interment in St. Andrew Lutheran Church.
