Samuel Porter, Jr.

Of Niagara Falls, NY passed away January 24, 2021. He was born in Andalusia, AL on March 28, 1940, son of the late Samuel and Lula Mae (Ward) Porter, Sr.

Samuel graduated from Niagara Falls High in 1959. He went on the earn associate’s degrees from Niagara County Community College (NCCC)  and finally his bachelor’s and  master’s degree from Niagara University.  His work career included employment with the City of Niagara Falls and  NCCC.  He was the Executive Director of the Highland Education Information Center and  President & CEO of Black Diamond Corporation.

Samuel is survived by his children April Porter, Regina Cauley, Samuel Porter, III, William (Chery) Porter,  Wayne (Yolanda) Porter, 4 grandchildren , 5 great-grandchildren. 

He was the father of the late Patrick Porter and Darrell Porter and grandfather to 3 late grandchildren.

Private Services were held at the wishes of his family.
