Sister Jane Feller, OSF

Sister Jane Feller, OSF (formerly Sister Faith) passed away on January 19, 2021 at Stella Niagara Health Center.  Sister was born in Buffalo, NY, September 9, 1943,  the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Esther M. (Geblein) Feller.

Sister Jane entered the Sisters of St. Francis at Stella Niagara September 6, 1964 and was professed July 2, 1967.

She received her Bachelor's degree in 1970 from Rosary Hill (Daemen) College, Buffalo, NY and her MSW from the State University of New York at Buffalo, NY.

Sister Jane was a teacher and social worker.    She taught at Stella Niagara High School and Bishop McMahon High School, Buffalo, NY and worked in the Admissions Office at Rosary Hill (Daemen) College, Buffalo, NY.   As a social worker, Sister Jane worked at Catholic Charities, Buffalo; St. Philip Neri Center, Murray City, Ohio; and Perry County Children's Services, New Lexington, Ohio.    She was a Counselor at Marion Adjustment Center, St. Mary, and Supervisor/Program Manager at South Louisville Community Ministries; Ferncreek/Highview Community Ministries; and served on staff at St. Martin of Tours Parish Golden Arrow Clothing Closet, Louisville, KY.  Sister Jane also spent two years as Coordinator of Hofling Hall Sister's Infirmary (Stella Niagara Health Center) for two years.

She, and her cat Jelly Bean, retired and moved to Stella Niagara in 2016.  She became a resident of the Stella Niagara Health Center in 2018. 

Sister Jane will be lovingly missed by her Sisters in the Stella Niagara Community.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Interment at Stella Niagara Cemetery.
