Sister M. Anthony Reichmuth, OSF, born in Buffalo, NY on September 3, 1927, died on February 16, 2020 at the Stella Niagara Health Center, Stella Niagara, New York. She was the daughter of the late Bernard and Mary (Grad) Reichmuth.
Sister Anthony entered the Sisters of St. Francis of Penance and Christian Charity on September 3, 1944 and was professed August 18, 1946. Sister Anthony's principal ministry was Cooking,
Sister Anthony served at St. Anthony Convent, Charleston, W.VA, St. Ann and St. Lawrence Convents, Buffalo, NY; St. Vincent, St. Charles and Sacred Heart Convents, Columbus, OH; and the Stella Niagara School.
Though Sister Anthony retired in 2005, she continued to serve at special events at the Stella Niagara Education Park. She also served in the kitchen at the Fatima Shrine in Lewiston, NY for many years.
Sister Anthony retired to the Stella Niagara Health Center in May, 2017.
Besides her parents, Sister Anthony was predeceased by her sisters, Mary (Emil) Kuchnowski, , Anna Marie (Henry) Bruenn , Bernice (Earl) Zimmerman, and Celia (Charles) Gianconicra; and brothers, Bernard (June) Emil (Marie) and Anthony (Josephine) Reichmuth.
She is survived by one sister, Marguerite (Harry) Martin, many nieces and nephews, special friends from Our Lady of Fatima Shrine, as well as her Sisters in the Stella Niagara Community..
Wake Wednesday, Feb. 19 from 2-7PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM and Mass of Christian Burial in the Sister's Chapel on Thursday, Feb. 20 at 10:00AM. .
