Thomas A. Jones

Of  Lewiston, NY,  passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025, in Niagara Hospice Hospice House.  He was born in Buffalo, NY,  on November 17, 1938, a son of the late Edward and Frederica [Dierdorf] Jones.

Mr. Jones was a graduate of Riverside High School, the University at Buffalo and served with the Army National Guard of New York.

Mr. Jones was an engineer with Union Carbide for over 30 years and later with MetLife before retiring.

He was a member of Lewiston Kiwanis Club, an avid fan of the Bills, UB Bulls, Red Sox and Sabres.

Mr. Jones was the husband of 55 years to the late Shirley  [Modelski] Jones, who passed away in 2017.

He is survived by his children Thomas P. (Avalon) Jones, Caroline D. (Gary) Albert and Diane M. Breen, his grandchildren Grace, Carly, Lila and Thomas, and was the brother of  William (Dorisa) Jones, Ann (Michael) Alpern and the late Ronald (Beverly) and Edward Jones, also many nieces and nephews.

Everyone is invited to attend his Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 10:00AM at St. Peter's Church, 620 Center Street, Lewiston, NY.

Memorials may be made in his name to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY  14094.
