Warren J. Luick, Sr., 92 was called to his eternal home on June 16, 2020. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, the son of the late Elmer and Lily (Haseley) Luick.
Warren was a 1946 graduate of LaSalle Senior High School.
He worked for 6 years at the Carborundum Company in Niagara Falls and 37 years at Bell Aerospace Company in the town of Wheatfield retiring in 1989. He started his career at Bell as a rocket technician advancing to Manufacturing and Engineering Liaison, Quality Control Engineer, Quality Assurance Engineer and eventually Quality Program Manager on the many rocket and space programs at Bell. He worked in various capacities on programs such as the Rascal Missile, Agena Rocket Engine, Minuteman Missile, and the LEM Engine Moon Rocket.
He was an active member of Grace Lutheran Church where he served in many capacities and sang in the choir. Warren also enjoyed being with his family, traveling, cooking, hunting, fishing, and in later years, genealogy and wine making. He bowled for many years in a Bell league and the John Wilson Church League.
Warren will be sadly missed by his family.
He is survived by his wife Marilyn E. (Feathers) Luick, whom he married in 1962; daughter Beverly A. (Scott) Lauer ; two sons, Warren Jr., Michael (Carolyn), and eight grandchildren: Nicholas and Bryn Lauer, Jacob, Jesse and Kasey; and Elizabeth, Kathryn and Zachary Luick and many nieces and nephews.
Warren was the brother of the late Kenneth R., Robert W., Earl E., Donald R. and Carol N.
Funeral Services will be held Monday at 10AM at Grace Lutheran Church, 716 Cayuga Dr., Niagara Falls, NY.
Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery, North Tonawanda, NY.
