Of North Tonawanda, NY, passed away on Tuesday, August 27, 2024, in the Buffalo VA Medical Center. He was born in Buffalo, NY on July 4, 1932, a son of the late Wilbur E. and Helen J. [Albertson] Treichler, Sr.
Mr. Treichler was a graduate of Wilson High and served with the US Air Force during the Korean War.
He owned and operated W. E. Treichler & Son Greenhouse in Sanborn, for 27 years before retiring in 1984.
He was an active member of the Hope United Methodist Church, the Sanborn Area Historical Society and enjoyed traveling and gardening.
Mr. Treichler was the husband of 58 years to the late Janice K. [Imson] Treichler who passed away in February of 2022.
He is survived by his children Mark (Kimberly) Treichler and Amy (Nathaniel) Lew, also many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Treichler was the brother of the late Marilyn (John) Licht and (Donald) Truesdell and Sandra (George) Armitage.
His Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Hope United Methodist Church, 2914 Upper Mountain Road, Sanborn, NY, with the Rev. Matthew Kofahl officiating, with Military Honors to follow.
Memorials may be made in his name to the Hope United Methodist Church or the Sanborn Area Historical Society.
Inurnment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
