Of the Tuscarora Nation, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025. A member of Eel Clan of Onondaga Nation, he was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on October 13, 1960, a son of the late Albert and Luella [Johnson] Gansworth.
He was a graduate of Niagara Wheatfield and received his Master's Degree from Buffalo State.
Weet was a supervisor at the GM plant in Lockport for several years, a laboratory chemist with Smokin Joe's and count team clerk at the Seneca Casino.
He was a member of the 1994 Senior B Presidents Cup National Championship with the Tuscarora Thunderhawks.
Weet also coached Lacrosse and was a member of the CAN AM Hall of Fame.
He was an avid follower of the Grateful Dead and Buffalo Bills fan and enjoyed being with his family and friends.
Weet is survived by his children Willard A. Gansworth, Jr., Felicia (Michael) Lapp, his little bops Gabriella and Hunter, siblings Jayne [ Fitzhugh ] Ferguson, Holly Anderson, Lee [ Juliette ] Gansworth, Eric Gansworth [ Larry Plant ], a sister in law Susan Gansworth and his former wife Nicole [Cobello] Printup, also many nieces and nephews.
Weet was the brother of the late Bruce and Neil Gansworth.
His family will be present on Wednesday, April 9th, from 11-12 PM at the Tuscarora Baptist Church, 2088 Mt. Hope Road, Sanborn, followed by funeral services at 12:00 PM with the Rev. Walter A. Printup, III officiating.
