William E. Goodman

William E. Goodman of Sanborn, NY, passed away on Thursday, May 5, 2022, in Niagara Hospice House, Lockport, NY.  He was born in Wilson, New York on April 20, 1929,  son of the late Henry and Florence [Fillingham] Goodman.

Mr. Goodman graduated from Wilson High School in 1948 and served in both the US  Navy and Army.

He had lived in Newfane for over 40 years before moving to Sanborn in 1999.

Mr. Goodman was employed with Continental Can for 20 years and at Harrison Radiator for 23 years as an inspector, retiring in 1991.

He was an active member of Concordia Lutheran  Church, the WNY 2 Cylinder Club, UAW Retiree's Travel Club and was a life-long farmer.

Mr. Goodman enjoyed bowling, hunting and wintering in Florida.

He was the loving husband of the late  Alice L. [Crowe] Goodman, who passed away in August of 2018.

Mr. Goodman is survived by  three daughters, Dawn M. (Michael)  Piette, Mary K. (Jack)  Zemla and Laurie S. (Mark)  Randall, 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, one great great grand daughter, also  many nieces and nephews.  

He was the brother of the late Lois M. Goodman.

His family will be present on  Friday from 4-7 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN,NY.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 PM at  Concordia Lutheran Church, 3121 Beebe Road, Newfane, NY, with the Rev. John David Duke officiating.

Memorials may be made in his name to the Concordia Lutheran Church or Niagara Hospice.

Interment with military honors in North Ridge Cemetery, Town of Cambria.
