Of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at his home under the care of his family and Niagara Hospice. He was born in Wilson, NY, on May 17, 1933, the son of the late Edward and Anna [King] Rohring.
Mr. Rohring served with the US Air Force during the Korean War. After returning from the service, he began working at Carborundum. He worked there as a foreman for the next 46 years before retiring.
He was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the LaSalle Sportsman's Club.
Mr. Rohring enjoyed spending time with his family, gardening, animals and playing board and card games.
He was the husband of 60 years to the late Dorothy L. [Babcock] Rohring, who passed away in 2015.
Mr. Rohring is survived by his children William D. (Marjorie Heeb) Rohring, Cathy Licata, Nicole Barr and Joel (Janelle) Rohring, grandchildren Brandi (Guy) Bridges, Ron Licata, Christopher Licata, Shannon (Jake) Voelker, Chelsea (John) Bothe, Thomas Barr, Christine Barr, Sarina (John) O'Malley and Evan Rohring, also many nieces and nephews.
He was the brother of the late Joseph Kelly and Marie Boughner.
His family will be present on Saturday from 10-12:00 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, followed by Funeral Services with Military Honors at 12:00 PM, with the Rev. Denton White officiating.
Memorials may be made in his name to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church or Niagara Hospice.
