William A. Summerfield
Of the Town of Porter, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022, in Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence. He was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on June 9, 1939, a son of the late Irene [Whittle] Ellison and Stanley (Marion) Summerfield.
Mr. Summerfield graduated from Niagara Falls High School and Niagara County Community College.
He served with the US Navy for 10 years. After returning from the service, he worked for various plants in the area before becoming the switchboard operator at the Niagara Falls Air Force Base for 10 years, before retiring.
Mr. Summerfield enjoyed fishing, camping, woodworking and Civil War History.
He was the husband of 52 years to the late Patricia A. [Aube] Summerfield, who passed away in August of this year.
Mr. Summerfield is survived by a son Michael (Lisa) Summerfield, granddaughter Laura, a great grandson Nolan and was the brother of Patrick, Kathleen and Terri Ann, also many nieces and nephews.
Private Funeral Services will be held at the wishes of his family.
