Wilma E. "Betty" Freeburg

Of Niagara Falls, NY,  passed away on  Thursday, October 20, 2022, in Elderwood at Lockport.
She was born in Clearfield, PA on October 23, 1936, a daughter of the late Arthur and  Althea [Carr] Swisher.
Betty moved to Niagara Falls, NY in 1955.

She was a bookkeeper at Lammert Buick & Cadillac which later became August Cadillac for over 20 years, retiring in 1997.
Betty was a member of the LaSalle Sportsman Club Ladies Auxiliary and volunteered St. Mary's Hospital and Our Lady of Peace.

She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and enjoyed traveling, wintering in Myrtle Beach and was an avid Bills fan.

Betty was the wife of 54 years of the late Charles M.  Freeburg, who passed away in 2007.

 She  is survived by her children Terriene (Mario) Palombo,  Martin (Kathleen) Freeburg and Linda (Richard) Dunkle, twelve grandchildren Marina (Mike) Morrison, K.C. (Angela) Freeburg, Dave (Laurie) Diem, Salvatore (Jenn) and Mario (Hilary) Palombo,  Derek Diem, Charles (Valerie) Freeburg, Nathan (Kristin) Dunkle, Josh (Jess) and Seth Kingsley,  Kyle (Ashley) and Caitlin Dunkle, 20 great grandchildren,  her twin brother William (Judy) Swisher and was the sister in law of Rebecca (Cliff) Jobe, Arthur (Alice) Freeburg, also many nieces and nephews.

Betty was the mother of the late Debra Freeburg,  grandmother of the late Dana Diem, sister of the late Margaret “Peg” (Robert) Weghaman, Barbara (Robert) Strickland and Joyce (Thomas) Bowser.

The family will be present on Saturday, October 29 from 1-3 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY,  where funeral services will be follow at 3:00 PM, with the Rev. Robert Muldoon.

Flowers are gratefully declined , memorials may be made in her name to the Ovarian Cancer Project.
