Mary Ellen Farley, 60, of Niagara Falls, NY, died Thursday, January 8, 2004, in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, after a six month illness.

She was born on December 5, 1943, in Niagara Falls, NY, the daughter of Helen [ Mroziak ] Wilkey, of Niagara Falls, NY, and the late William A. Wilkey, where she attended local Schools.

She was a graduate of Stella Niagara High School, and the former Kelly Business Institute.

On October 22, 1966, she married Donald W. Farley, in Sacred Heart Church, in Niagara Falls, NY. Mr. Farley predeceased his wife on July 13, 2002.

She was employed in retail sales, for many years, and had worked at the former Hills and Ames Department Stores, prior to their closings.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Church, and the Girl Scouts of America.

Surviving in addition to her mother, are a son, Donald Farley; a daughter Susan [ Tim ] Akin, all of Niagara Falls, NY; Three grandchildren, Bailey, Madison and Colin and several cousins.

The family will be present at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 1124 Ontario Avenue, from 7 - 9 p.m., Sunday, where funeral services will be held Monday at 9 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 am, at Sacred Heart Church. Burial will be in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
